Description
Puriri is a native New Zealand hardwood, it burns long and hot similar to Tea Tree or Pohutukawa. We have limited amounts of Puriri which is sustainably sourced from wind fallen trees. Puriri is well known to be one of the hardest native woods in New Zealand and is challenging to process. It is great for open fires, pizza ovens and all forms of outdoor cooking.
Kiln dried wood is our superior product as it has been through a kiln, similar to a oven on fan bake, it dries the wood down to 20% moisture or lower. It is then shed stored.
