Description
Our hotmix is a combination of slow burning wood such as gum, and fast burning wood such as pine (majority pine). It may also contain oak, macrocarpa, willow, black wattle and poplar, the gum we use is generally blue gum/red gum but other Australian hardwoods such as sheoak/black wattle are also used. It is our most common wood as it provides fast starting and long burning firewood. Our firewood is cut to 300mm (long) and split size no bigger than 140mm (wide) however occasionally pieces can be bigger than this.
PLEASE NOTE : This wood is unseasoned and for burning in 2024 winter, not 2023. It requires seasoning, ideally stored in a well ventilated area. Or left outside in the open to season and put away in dry storage around March 2024. If you require dry wood to burn now, please select something from our kiln dried products.
