Description
Gum is a hardwood and therefore is long and hot burning, we recommend starting the fire with a soft wood such as pine. Our gum firewood is a combination of red gum and blue gum it may also contain Australian hardwoods black wattle and sheoak casuarina. Please note blue gum is a species of Eucalyptus which is white and has a similar appearance to pine, however it is definitely a hardwood.
PLEASE NOTE : This wood is unseasoned and for burning in 2024 winter, not 2023. It requires seasoning, ideally stored in a well ventilated area. Or left outside in the open to season and put away in dry storage around March 2024. If you require dry wood to burn now, please select something from our kiln dried products.
